Château Prince Larquey 2016 is a Bordeaux Supérieur from a small 4-hectare family estate, nestled on clay-limestone terroir, evoking a rich history dating back to the time of the Black Prince. This wine is composed mainly of Merlot (75%), accompanied by Cabernet Sauvignon (15%) and Cabernet Franc (10%), a blend that gives it a structured, seductive character.
Visually, it boasts an intense, brilliant cherry color, immediately catching the eye. The complex nose reveals bewitching aromas of jammy black fruits such as black cherry, mixed with exotic spices such as licorice and eucalyptus, all enhanced by gourmand vanilla woody notes. On the palate, this wine reveals itself to be young and firm, with a promising structure that will soften wonderfully after 6 to 8 hours in a decanter. Black fruit flavors blend perfectly with subtle touches of caramel, vanilla and toasted notes, offering a finish full of tension and complexity.
Ideal with grilled meats or hard cheeses, this wine should be enjoyed at a temperature of 16-18°C to reveal its full richness and potential.
